Agreed - this is definitely a headphone album, and those little sonic details do a lot to make this the classic that it is.

I mainly listen on headphones and this is indeed better than most albums i've heard recently

Maybe it's just getting older but i'm finding it increasingly difficult to really connect with new music. I always swore i wouldn't be on of those guys who just settled back and listened to the same old stuff day after day. I'm still resisting but fighting it back just makes me bored as i'm not getting the same out of it as I did years back... Anyone out there in the same department?

I know for me, it's a problem of having listened to so much music that it's getting increasingly rare to be surprised by it. Another indie rock album that sounds like every indie rock album I've heard before it. Another metalcore record with high-pitched cleans and mathy riffs? What makes you different from the hundreds of others? I can definitely understand where you're coming from.

Yeah I've been thinking about that too. The element of suprise is definitely lacking if not missing. Also, I feel like I've got all the indie rock albums I need by now. I do like some new music ofc but it doesn't completely blow me away. What are you bringing to the table? Oh you moved the table a bit the other way, well that's usefull, thank you goodbye. Maybe I should just check out genres i'm less familiar with

That's what I've been doing with country music recently. It's a genre I've been largely unfamiliar with but I've been really enjoying it.

I can see that happening to me eventually. For now though I still feel like there’s still just way too much great music out there that I haven’t heard yet

Ain't autumn yet (least not where I am) but this will certainly enter the rotation when it is. Love the 5!

After years of adoring this band, I've finally listened to the double album. I'm head over heels for it already. It's so good. This freaking band, man.
