This made an impression on me immediately, so it was an easy choice to grab something from them- it helped that it was pretty cheap too even with it being shipped from Poland.

I rarely buy vinyl online anymore because with ridiculous shipping prices and the Canadian dollar being as low as it is, it costs an arm and a leg. So finding this at such a good price was definitely a huge draw (on top of it being awesome of course).

Superhard to find fault with this one. Vocals perfect, dynamics perfect, originality perfect.
Well, maybe some folkier song in the middle would've been nice.

I'm not one to hate something just because its popular, but I'm so fucking disappointed by this.
I'm a huge fan of religious music in general, at least aesthetically, so hearing of a band combining orthodox chants with black metal (for more than a song/sample) was a gift from the music gods.
My main problem is the immensely annoying raspy vocals. Really corny. Maybe without them the record would work for me. Its all just feels a bit cheapish and fake.

Btw do any of you know about Lost Origins? Jason Hamacher of Frodus recorded the oldest christian and other religios chants in Syria before the war broke out. Really fascinating stuff: https://soundcloud.com/lostorigins
Maybe even more fascinating are his stories about how he did it. He was on a lot of podcasts, check out Going Off Track first (it's a great podcast anyway): http://www.goingofftrack.com/2015/01/28/jason-hamacher/
