It's not all terrorism, it's more like "its 2015 baby" and since terrorism is bigger than ever thanks to groups like ISIS it's just part of the ride.

To be fair the lyrics don't take on the topic with a particular set agenda, certainly not a western media one

More looking at all the motivations of the key players, getting into all their heads

Track 1- loved one of persecuted terrorist

Track 2- someone wanting to reject the modern world

Track 3- apathetic everyday joe witnessing terror act

Track 4- terrorist? regretting choices past point of no return

Track 6- right wing leader, impressionable recruit

Track 7- terrorist or terrorist fantasist? Or possibly the recruit from the previous song?

Track 9- comparing the modern elite to Pharaohs

Track 10- political/military leaders

Distant Past is sort of a joke - he's fantasising about wanting to live like a caveman and the music they choose to back this sentiment? 90's cheesy rave nostalgia

"More looking at all the motivations of the key players, getting into all their heads"

Which is also a terrible topic for a song, "it's complicated and here's why"-topics are rarely good lyrical material.

I actually really don't know what Doofus is talking about anymore, there isnt a "lets look at all sides" kind of angle on thats album at all.

Just trying to wear people down with my in depth analysis of the Everything Everything album so no one can face criticising it ever again for fear of encouraging more
