No worries I know it's gonna inevitably be brought up when we (I) start talking about "meanings of lyrics" and bullshit like that haha. I'm a little ambivalent re: criticism of hyperintellectualization of bangin trap lyrics not because I don't understand it (like, I know that esp if done badly it's stupid as hell) but because most of the criticism I've seen - not just on my own ass review either - is basically just the word "lmao". And like a lot of said hyperintellectualization deserves that response (esp my ds2 one, which looking back on it is v superficial and self-aggrandizing), but having that as a blanket response to most reviews which say "hey, let's say something else about this trap aside from 'it bangs'" is kinda not my favorite thing
