Contrary to what people seem to think a 3 means, I did enjoy the album though. Pups to Dust is the best song I think but I'm also digging Tortoise right now.

Although I posted the "your wrong" stuff, I actually agree with you on most stuff. Especially on the part where every MM album safe for "The Moon and antarctica" is composed of shimmering jems and awful duds. I just think this has way more gems than their last 2 albums.

I'm glad you like it as much as you do. I'm never trying to rob anyone of joy when I review. I even purchased the physical copy of this album because I feel like having the lyrics / pictures usually boosts my appreciation for music.
I wanna say I could see this growing to a 3.5, but it's just too inconsistent for me to sit through it without getting bored and skipping around.

Yea, but apparently through different lenses. I listened to this viewing MM as a band well past their prime, in the game for 20+ years and still managing to make fun music. This record isn't going to change peoples lives like their past releases but it doesn't have to be in order to be enjoyable.
