Everyone gushed over Hubardo. I'm really surprised how little I've heard people talk about this one.

although many people find hubardo to be better, i think this album is more cohesive/ enjoyable (although hubs is undeniably a beast of its own)

Hubardo is a double concept album, nuff' said about why it was such an event for Kayo Dot, this is almost just as good though

just saw them live a couple days ago for the first time since like 2008. haven't kept up with ANY new

music for a long time. in fact, coincidentally, the last new album i bought and listened to was

hubardo. went to the show expecting to hear all hubardo songs. thought it was still the hubardo tour.

didn't have any idea they'd released this little guy here. fell in love with these songs after seeing

them live. bought this at the merch stand. can already safely say it's one of their very best.

That sounds thrilling, not knowing anything about this and then discovering it that way. Nice

it was sensational. i've gotta tell ya, these songs really come to life when performed live. it's a thing of majesty.

damn nice, you should post the set list if you can. I'm wondering if they play stuff still from Hubardo. I saw on the band's facebook that they were rehearsing Stained Glass.

yeah i was pretty shocked when they began to play on limpid form. awesome way to end the show, but i'm hoping for a different closer tonight.

Gemini Becoming the Tripod would be killer as a live closer

so it was a shorter set tonight.

library sub

built himself a boat

zlida caosgi

doves

gonna be honest, i'm not entirely sure what the last song was. it didn't sound like anything from their catalog. i'm 90% sure it was cartogram out of phase, but it sounded different.

ah cool! yeah i really had no idea what it was, but a few of the lyrics sounded like they were from cartogram, so i thought maybe they'd reworked it for a live version or something.
