Why is it that a lot of good metalcore/melo-death bands try turning into a metal Bon Jovi later in their career? This album reminded me of Parkway Drive's Ire which was also a band trying to be more pop, more melodic, even radio-friendly, with big choruses and stuff...it's lame, stahp it bands.

Ire was an abomination. This is at least catchy and not all bad. Truth be told it's a giant mixed bag of songs that range from simply OK to great. In fact some of the songs on here are just as good as their older work.
