I dont really like Losing It All after Dissenter though, just a gripe with track ordering.

Out of all the Anberlin albums I've listened to New Surrender is the weakest so far, but I think that might grow on me after a while.

I just don't like Dissenter much. Don't see why the band wastes a track writing a song that doesn't take advantage of their biggest strength (Stephen's voice)

new surrender is great, just not really on the level of their other stuff. i find it's better as an album listen than listening to stuff individually, bar a few standouts (miserabile visu comes to mind)

and yeah it just has quite a few meh songs that don't accomplish much. burn out brighter, younglife, blame me! are the first 3 that immediately come to mind

The Resistance is a great song too. There's also a handful of awesome midtempo ballads: Retrace, Breaking, Breathe all come to mind
