Like I said in the other thread I haven't heard the debut or s/t yet, but Diamond Eyes is my fav from what I've heard so far. Everything else absolutely slays too though.

deftones as of late are boring and tepid, and i enjoy chino's vocals less and less with each release.

i get it, they're a bit less dynamic in their more recent incarnations (Chino included). but i feel like they've gained even more control over mood/atmosphere at the same time. plus the songwriting chops haven't lessened, like most bands of their ilk.

Only album that I might consider below a 4 is Asrenaline but I haven't given it a good listen in a long time, will do that this week

T/t is Deftones' best "heavy" song imo. One of the most unsettling songs I've ever heard

this album in general has an unsettling grimey feel that subsequent albums have not been able to capture. especially the seething vocals on songs like lhabia.
