So far I'm liking this album, but with Until It's Gone I couldn't help the sudden rush of de ja vu. New Divide rewrite much?

I loved it. Very experimental rap record. He's better at doing stuff like that than this stuff by far.

Going back to Chester messing up on GATS live, I honestly now think one reason why they toned down the aggression all those years was because his voice is getting worn... some of his singing on early albums can be quite physically demanding, so I wouldn't be surprised

His voice sounds completely shot on more than a few tracks here.

I'd say he has moments on the opener and the closer, but the rest feel strained

Yeah I didn't like the screams on Rebellion.

Toning down the aggression has nothing to do with Chester, the shift in sound was to move as far away from the Nu metal roots as possible to try and remove the ugly name associated with them.

I also don't get why people think LP finally "caved" in and thought "you know what, our old fans are right!". They do what they want and always have. One thing I can definitely respect them for, even if they don't always get it right.
