Nah, at least I don't think I have - certainly not as much as German Schlager which is often either the most mind-numbingly stupid party party party music or super sappy shit.

Yeah, that song doesn't ring a bell. Sounds like your average horrible christmas music, though. Not as bad as the crowning achievement that is "finger in the ass, mexico" (finger im po, mexiko - actually rhymes in German) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45tNlhi6Rvg

wow...

I'm really at a loss for words here. it's offensive on so many levels. I suppose my inner masochist is at least somewhat thankful for this piece of music having been brought to my attention.

I think that makes it somewhat understandable why I hate going to clubs here (in addition to having awful speakers, not being able to hear yourself think and the floor looking like Dresden circa 1945)

...or Coventry ca 1940. your hatred towards clubs is justified.

fuck, being confined to an asian village for 9 months really helps in losing track... i have to check this, spacey death metal is more my alley than anything!

And i never dreamt of reading about good old finger im po, mexiko on sputnik... people really like that crap in Germany. there is a public parade with that bullshit in my city with 100k plus morons attending every year!

been working in a village on the philippines for rehabilitation after that supertyphoon last november. First 9 months with virtually no internet. So I was barred from living my usual music nerd life and still try to get on track about recent releases. any suggestions where to look at apart from this?

And the fact that "Take me to your Heaven" is mentioned in this thread is glorious.

listening to this directly after Archspire really puts into perspective how simultaneously good and bad a single genre can be

cheers, yeah still gonna say that 'Absorbing Black Ignition' is better simply because it just ventures outside of the textbook with such spectacular results. dm needs more stuff like that out there.
