Jim Wise, Song Remains the Same and Micheline could all fairly be described as masterpieces

I love it when a record hits you so hard that you don't want to listen again for fear or ruining that perception.

So he went to see his friend who was not famous when he first met him (on a small stage in spain), but now he's bustin moves somewhere and he's going to the post office (which is kind of a drag) to meet this aforementioned friend? And before all this he is dealing with some problems (he admit to some friend who asks him what is up - to which he answers: it's some sorta middle age thing I guess if you really wanna now (he is not confident that she will be able to help him, so the crab cakes become blue, blue, blue and the sport on tv is shit, shit, shit. laa laa laa.

It's way too wordy for me - somehow.

"He just likes to play guitar and he never hurt anyone..."

That might be true, but I really don't get the love for this album - all those 5's!

Hey, please tell me what is classic about this??

Maybe I just don't get it.

Probably all those lyrics about people dying. They're pretty cool, as morbid as that sounds.

He's talking about Ben Gibbard and it's not the post office, he's going to see him play in The Postal Service (his second band; first is Death Cab for Cutie)

So, I gave this a second chance and it kinda rewarded me.

I still feel that it drags in certain places, but there are some really great songs on here.

It's more how raw it is. Other than that, I also struggle for similarities
