The 320 copy on Soulseek is just a transcode: i.e. it's actually just a 128kbps rip made to look like a 320kbps rip. No 320 version is currently out, but just wait a few days. ;)

I use Adobe Audition which yields an easy-to-interpret spectral analysis from which you can infer bitrates. Here's a handy guide to spectral analysis:

Hmm. My favorite parts of their last couple of records happened when the blast beats and shrieks tore apart the pretty stuff so idk. Going into this fresh is going to be difficult haha.

If you liked previous Alcest, then you should hear this. It's impossible to say in general whether the lack of metal will be a turnoff.
