twist, wicked and adidas are all goofs, fun goofs but goofs all the same

'Good God' is the only absolute top tier track on it, though chi-lost-swallow is a decent run

rather have fun goofs than the lyrics be too sorry-for-myself throughout a whole album

Dunno, there's still some goofy stuff on 'Issues' - 'Party', 'Beg for Me', 'Make Me Bad' - and some are actually great songs as well.

'Counting' is immense.

I think they rushed out 'Peachy' a little bit too quick after the surprise success of the debut. It's half a good album.

Yeah follow the leader is my second favorite, even with all the goofy nu metal shit

The debut is down as coming out in '94 but it didn't really get any traction until 1995...so it was really like 'Peachy' just suddenly emerged 6-8 months after the debut dropped.

to be fair, some of the tracks were written during '94-'95. 'Twist' gets mentioned before Clown starts. for sure it sounds rough/rushed but that doesn't take away the strength of those same tracks.

Yeahhhhh, I adore both bands but the first two Korn albums are leagues above the first two Deftones albums. Deftones couldn’t hold a candle to Korn back in the day, even with the release of White Pony, when it lived in the shadow of Korn’s Follow The Leader and Issues. And need I mention that Korn really made that type of music explode and paved the way for bands like Deftones? Albeit, Korn really faltered later in their career while Deftones only got better, but give credit where credit is due.

Korn's S/T is better than Adrenaline, but Adrenaline is better than anything Korn did after. Peachy has a few alright tracks, but if FtL doesn't make your face melt from the avalanche of cringe I don't know what does

'Around the Fur' is way better than 'Peachy' - but I guess I agree that until 'Pony' Korn were the bigger deal.

Then up to about 2002 they were an even deal, then Deftones went ahead a little bit.

I think Dirty and Somebody Someone are top tier Korn but most of Issues is too rigid compared to its predecessors. They said they had to strip down their sound with the new big producer, which is really evident and annoying.

Follow has a lot of great songs but the hip hop experiments are cringefests imo (whereas I dig Wicked), and I can never get into It's On for the life of me. Peachy isn't as consistent as the debut but the highlights are very bright, the second half of Chi for instance is definitely one of their craziest moments together with Good God

Life Is Peachy is my favorite Korn album so I admit I’m biased on it. It was like their “ imma do a bunch of fucking speedballs and write some off the wall shit” kind of album and I love it.

I like 'It's On', 'Wicked' I absolutely loved at the time but it is a little bit cringe now, can't escape that.

First 2 Korn albums are better than Deftones' first 2 albums? I could maybe agree on this statement in the case of Adrenaline, it's really a matter of personal preference, I like Adrenaline more. But saying they're better than Around the Fur? Boi, I don't think you know how bold of a statement that is. ATF is undoubtedly a classic. Korn's first 2 albums? Sure, they were innovative for their time. The band has pretty much created this genre with them. But to say they are classics? They never were and never will. There's not much to them other than the fact that they were innovative and that they banged. To say they are better than ATF is a blasphemy. In the case of Deftones not holding a candle up to Korn- Since when being more popular determines that you're better? Deftones' White Pony living in the shadow of any Korn album? Haha. This is just stupid. Sure, Korn was more popular because they invented the genre and they paved the way for other artists like Deftones, but Tones took it to another level. Korn were pioneers, credit must be given to them for this. But it's just that. They died after their first 4 albums, that shows they were never anything incredible. Deftones are true artists, and they keep showing it on every (almost, *cough* Gore *cough*, it still slays everything Korn ever did) record. Ily coldy but you really need to take off your nostalgia glasses off sometimes.
