"I think that a large part of that is the way the vocals sound in the first place, which is something I’m really happy about that we did on ‘8:18′ as far as sticking with imperfect vocals, often. Practically every song has one or five vocal takes that are by no means perfect or polished.
My voice is fluctuating or falling out and I think it’s created a very distinctive level of desperation to the songs and I think that compliments the lyrics themselves. "

Agreed, Daughter is an amazing song. Love how Mike's vox sound a lot more like they did in WRAaBB on this song. Song is structured amazingly too. Looking forward for the new album!
