I thought the end of season 1 was perfect, especially that murder-suicide thing and the last part with Korra. Hit me right in the feels it did

i liked season 2 but the first half was legitimately a bad show
agreed, it felt like it wasn't going anywhere for a long time. plus it still had the that shitty love triangle shit going on. ugh jus gtfo already.

Yea end of season 1 was pretty awesome. Plus the murder suicide was unexpected.

Yeah I was shocked when I saw that, and pretty surprised there was no controversy over it being on Nick
|
| |
Plus Korra was basically contemplating suicide too haha

Was she? I remember people freaking out over it but the creators vehemently denied it I thought
|
| |
I think she was honestly, but it may have just seemed like it maybe. If I remember correctly she was
in a trouble mind set at the end of season 1 so I wouldn't have been surprised. Aang did say she was
at her lowest point: with everything taken away from her. That tear over the edge said it all to me.

the murder/suicide + suicide contemplation (regardless of if that actually happened) were cool.
the ending twist about amon being a fake and a hypocrite were not. it cheapened his moral stance and made him into a full on villain instead of a morally ambiguous antagonist.

Someone in the ign comments made a good point. Avatar is maturing and out growing nick. The network only wants to gear it towards kids but it's seems like the show has more of an adult following as a whole. So maybe if Netflix took it on, it would be the best thing to happen to the show. Then season 4 wouldn't be limited.

That was my biggest problem with last airbender, it had too much kiddie shit in it. I was always drawn to the Zuko/Iroh stuff because of all the moral ambiguity with Zuko's character, they did that so well.
And yeah Korra was probably contemplating suicide, that and the muder-suicide were probably the most mature and depressing stuff I've ever seen on Nick. Outgrowing the network for sure

Loved almost every minute of the last air bender. It geneuinely had great humor and none of the kiddie stuff I feel was forced.
It just felt natural and the characters was awesome. I loved Zuko toph an aang.
As you can tell, I've watched this show from the very beginning and I'm very devoted haha

Yeah it certainly wasn't forced and they did a good job balancing the different stuff out, especially given how dark and bleak the stuff with Zuko was. I love each season finale, those were probably the most mature episodes of the show. I especially loved the conflict at the end of season 3 with Aang, a 12 year old, having to deal with the idea of murdering someone. Korra has the same balance but certainly more geared toward teens and adults than kids. Nick needs to stop strangling it and just make up their minds. Especially if giving it to netflix will improve the show for the fans, since it's not getting good ratings anyway with regular viewers.

Yea exactly. One scene I'll never forget was when Zuko was basically shorting at the sky on a mountain during a storm, "I can take anything you throw at me!!" Like holy shit, it's those types of scenes that really made the show stand out. Plus yea I agree, all the finales were fantastic. Season 2's epic battle between the Aang, Zuko, Azula and Katara was engrossing.

Yeah and just when you thought Zuko was going to turn good he viciously betrays them, and it's so heartbreaking and such a fall from grace for him. Also when you thought Aang might be dead when they're flying away with that burn impalement in his chest or whatever that was and it just ends. That episode kicked my ass when I watched it and I was about 13 I think, and yeah when he was screaming at the sky I was like "holy shit this intense" lol

As a "children's" show and as a tv show in general, it continuously blew me away and even if I watch it now it's still the same. Damn I wanna watch it again now lol

I haven't watched it since shortly after it ended on air, I'm sure it would still hold up now even though I'm almost 20. I can still remember most of it and how awesome it was
|
| |
It's really for people of all ages imo. It's got stuff for everyone: great humor for kids and then you have a mature story with many lengthy action sequences.

(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
Whoever decided this "digital release" should get his fucking eyeballs removed. Apparently people are too busy watching Sanjay and Craig (fucking horrible show btw) than watching the awesomeness of Korra.
The world is mad I say. Mad.
|

Yea everything on nick pretty much sucks now. I'm thinking positive now. I wa pissed at this last night but now I think this is fantastic that this happened. Assuming the show isn't cancelled and season 4 is still ago, there's no limits to what they can do with it. Granted I'm not saying the characters curse and make it bloody haha, but they could up the anty with the action of they wanted to.

Especially considering all Nickelodeon ever really play now a days are awful cartoon reruns or tween girl sitcoms (Thank god they got rid of Sam & Cat) I don't think really anyone mature enough pays attention to that channel anymore. The only show that had that maturity was Korra and the fact that they literally are practically getting rid of it is bullshit. This is one reason why I hate Nickelodeon now.
The only other real good show on Nickelodeon these days anymore is TMNT really, nothing else.
