I think Sky Machine could easily be at home on Sound Awake

The epic songs on this would fit musically, but in terms of melodic hookiness I don't think they would. They're much more about ambience and texture than poppiness. We Are is the most melodically focused I feel.

I don't know. It is a bit too subdued to feel right amongst Sound Awake.

Back to the video, come on. That news broadcast was Alex Jones horrible.

Sky Machine kinda reminds me of Deadman. Still epic, but a lot less epic than Deadman.

Honestly, I didn't hear the song until after someone said that so I don't know if that is something I am actually hearing or I am hearing because someone else said it.

Would you believe that I haven't seen the whole movie? I was around for the beginning and just stopped watching. In fact, I think I have developed an allergy to Chris Nolan movies.

Oh I like the drum part on We Are, it just feels out of place after about 45 seconds of being used.

I think We Are is one of the weakest songs on here, actually. The drum pattern is really ill-fitting throughout the whole song, imo.

Production is fine. Hated this on first listen and now I love it. Give the poor record a chance

Saw these guys last night at the Eatons Hill hotel in Brisbane - it was a great performance but fairly underwhelming in that it failed to move me. Yeah, they all played on point and the acoustics were pretty good, but the lighting was terribly generic and the setlist was disappointing at best. They played some of their best songs (Set Fire, Goliath, Deadman, Themata) but the rest of the setlist was pretty patchy, with a notable absence of Sky Machine, Eidolon, Float, almost all of Themata, Fade, and some great ones off Sound Awake (Caudal, Change, Umbra). It was short (an hour and 20 or so) and generally a pretty tame show. Despite how much I love the new material, Nachash and AM War had an incredibly flat response and didn't excite me at all.. makes me question how good the new material actually is. In any case, it was a fun gig but makes me miss their 2009 Sound Awake era. Perhaps they're past their prime
