The song structures on this album remind me a lot of 'Unhallowed'. Obviously, the playing has improved since then. Overall, IMO, 'Ritual' is the better album because the songs are more varied and memorable.

These boys can't make a bad album. Fact.

Listened this morning. Drums seemed a lot tamer for Black Dahlia's standards.

Shannon wasn't on Miasma though, and that's still insane.

I never said anything about it disliking it, bro. I enjoyed this album a lot. I just said the drums were tamer. I was expecting it to be completely blast beats and everything as fast as it possibly can, like all their other records have been, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't.

Pretty boring. It has it's moments but I wouldn't take this over Miasma or Nocturnal for a second.
