I never realised how amazing Josh Homme's vocals truly were until I heard the title track off this.

Yeah not disagreeing, it just didn't really hit me until that song how good he was. He sings in that typical low grungey voice so often that when he switches to that amazing falsetto it just blows you away.

Favourite Josh Homme performance? Vocals, not guitar, that is?

Haha yeah, but Skin on Skin and a lot of Era Vulgaris fit that bill pretty well too.

Era gets way too much hate imo, it's definitely not their worst for me.

Damn I think Lullabies is tied for their best (also gets way too much hate) and the s/t is really great too.

To be perfectly honest, SFTD is my least favourite. Don't get the love for it personally.

not the usual opinion. i think it has most of their best songs tbh (You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, No One Knows, Song for the Dead, First It Giveth, Hangin' Tree, Go With the Flow, Do It Again, Mosquito Song)

Yeah I know everyone seems to love it but I can't stand Nick's two songs (not Millionaire or Six Shooter, the other two) and a lot of the rest were boring. It definitely does have some of their best though, Millionaire and Mosquito Song especially, but overall as an album I think it's their weakest by a fair bit.

yeah well each to his own but i think it really doesn't have bad songs. can't decide which is my favorite song ever by them: Song for the Dead or Mosquito Song
