Love the vibe on this record. Like others have said, it lacks energy on occasion. The transitions and sweet melodies make up for most of the faults. Good stuff!

The best thing to come from these guys since SFTD, not that LTP or EV were bad, just pointing out how fucking amazing this album is.

Listening to this now. As good as the internet is, there's still great about going out, buying a record, getting home and spinning it for the first time.

Only thing that truly sucks about this is that the cd doesn't come with a booklet inside : (

"Instead, the new record expands on the robot rock aesthetic of the act's 2005 release Lullabies To Paralyze, bringing repetitive grooves to the fore."

Lullabies to Paralyze was absolutely not "robot rock"; That title goes to Era Vulgaris. Lullabies was the dark and mysterious album. Also, they have *always* utilized repetition -- that's what makes them stoner/desert rock

Queers of the Stone Age.

This album is boooooooring (with the exception of "I Sat by the Ocean")

If I'm gonna listen to stoner rock, I'm definitely more inclined to listen to Mastodon. Leagues better than this shit.

"If I'm going to listen to stoner rock"

This isn't stoner rock dipshit... You have Kyuss and early QOTSA for that.

This album still sucks hard. Only one good song. I expected better. I liked some of their earlier stuff.

^You contradict yourself a bit. The truth is that all their albums can be considered "robot rock" because of repetition you've mentioned. For me, this record is more of a continuation of Lullabies To Paralyze than any other album of theirs. I think it's rather close stylistically to that one. I like to dismiss Era Vulgaris because I don't like this record at all.
