their new album has edge of sanity, my dying bride, paradise lost and sodom covers (and probably more i havent deciphered yet)
those alone make me interested.

I enjoyed it. There's definitely more melody in it than brutality which I think is going to turn off a few people. A lot of it is pretty reminiscent to early-era In Flames though imo.

most of it just sounds to me like weak, b-side HSB material. the tracks where they do try something interesting just come across as really odd and out-of-place (see "the cry of mankind", not a bad track just really unusual and not very impactful)
i do appreciate the increased melody because im a guy who loves melodic death, but it just feels like none of it is very noteworthy. maybe it'll grow.
