This cd kicks ***, I never listened to slipknot before this cd and now they're one of my favorites, youre all idiots haha!

This album's great because it's revolutionary for slipknot - I didn't think Iowa was all that great, but since buying Vol. 3, I've appreciated it more. They've added solos etc, which they just didn't have on the previous 3 - although there was one on (sic) that got edited..

Every song on the album is great, except the last 3, which are kind of... filling in space. I'm glad they did some acoustic songs, they BOTH worked really well, especially Vermillion Pt.2 :D

and befor i forget there are no actual bad songs on the album

I loved the new album and i agree that pulse of the maggots is one of their best songs

i'm a big maggot, and i was pretty excited when i heard duality and that the new record was coming out
until i basically got it
it was good on most levels but it was like they forgot what it was like to be slipknot
and yeah they don't use the full potental of nine members
i heard on an interview that they said they did the record rather fast compared to the others
the demo bonus shit like "Scream" and "Don't get close" were good and i think they sould have put them on instead of "vermillion 2" and "danger, keep away"
but i think for first time slipknot listeners it's good

Surprisingly, this album actually contains songs that don't cause me to instantaneously spew large amounts of vomit several feet into the air.

I'm not saying that Slipknot is a bunch of noise or anything, but there older albums just aren't as good. I mean I really do like there older albums and all, but seriously, this one is the best. There's more to this album than singin about some fu*ked up sh*t. And that's cool and all but this album has meaning to it. And because I'm a bass player I think about how awsome the guitar more than just how heavy they are like a lot of Slipknot fans do. This album is a break thru to the next stage musically.

I'm not acting like I know it all, I'm just posting my opinion like everyone else. And I'm not saying that the older albums sounded the same either, I'm just saying that I like this one better.This Message Edited On 07.17.05

We don't need fanboys coming in these comment sections posting things like that unless you have a logical reason why every song does not sound the same.

There won't be a fourth album. Volume 3 was their final one. From what I've heard of this one, it isn't that good.

Slipknot owns i give this album a 4.5/5

You rated the songs all wrong, but got the overall rating right on the dot. This album is pretty good, but it didn't consume my music world or anything. Good review.
