"What a fucking album. Still, you gave Stabbing the Drama a 3,5, KjSwantko, so you're kind of a fanboy. That album was horrible."

Ah. Maybe when you stop 5'ing Kalmah albums I will take what you say seriously. Nice unprovoked aggressive comment there though, XfingTheSullen.

Xfing is doing right by fivin' all Kalmah albums though. Their 2013 album will probably stomp on this.

I fived only The Black Waltz, mind you. And how does that band even compare with Soilwork? Kalmah's great.

This is the dumbest beginning to an argument I've ever seen. Clearly I really like Soilwork and you don't; you really like Kalmah and I don't. Let's just stop this here and be Sputnik buddies.

Also, maybe you're entirely right that I overrated Stabbing the Drama at 3.5; frankly I haven't listened to the album in probably 5 years, so maybe it is worse than I remember.

Well I do like Soilwork, but they were mostly a semi-guilty to full-guilty pleasure. Except for the first four albums and the last two. As for Kalmah, the power of their melodies and the uplifting grooves captivate me every time. The Black Waltz is their best by far though, and most other albums are unremarkable in comparison. Still, quite a few 4s.

Kalmah rocks hard even though I don't think The Black Waltz is their best.

"and most other albums are unremarkable in comparison"

Hardly...TBW is a REALLY repetetive album compared to like They Will Return.

The first three are great in their own right, sure. But of the second three TBW takes it no contest. The guitar/keyboard solo from Defeat would make me wet myself if I were a girl

Album is half killer, half filler, the second disc beign the filler. Only The Living Infinite II and Parasite Blues being the only decent songs on there.
