I dunno, this starts to get really repetitive and samey after a few tracks

"musically it's not like outstandingly bad it's just uninteresting for the most part, it's the vocals that kill this for me... just cannot get past how this guy has to over-dramatize everything it's pretty annoying
probably a 2"
Sea knows where it's at. Probably a little higher for me though.

While I enjoy their ambient stuff this lacks the heavier songs i.e. Street Carp, Combat, Rats!Rats!Rats!, Elite, Rapture and Korea which gave those particular albums a much better listen IMO

i don't personally understand what makes deftones so incredible. their music is simple in a boring sort of way for me.

"How in the hell can anyone think this is better than SNW"

Because it is?

I dont see why anyone would think otherwise except for some kind of nostalgia shit, which is pribably your case.

Its everything SNW is but made better.

bakkermaarten007 Dude, what a distinctive behavior you had there. You deserve a Pretentious Fuck medal, congratulations!

It's all Chino for the most part. He's a downright phenomenal vocalist who can sound powerful, melodic, and sensual all at the same time. The band creates the perfect atmosphere to accompany it.

There's nothing groundbreaking going on, it's just well-executed music; always.

I didn't start listening to the Deftones until this year really. SNW is so much more nuanced and subtle and it has a ton of layers and stuff going on, this is just a bunch of groovy downtuned riffs. It has none of the qualities SNW had.

This is basically SNW 2 with better songwriting.

I hope this is atleast a 3.5 or a 4 from how you guys are describing it, I wasn't that into it on the first listen.
