welp. this is nearly flawless. It would take a dissertation to explain why I still prefer Tate over Midnight, but normally when I get in these conversations I just let people get away with thinking Dio / Dickinson / Halford are equitable to him, when in reality they are (while admittedly great) not even fucking close during his prime.
Midnight is fucking close. Like, fucking close.
I've listened to this eight times now. Ordered a copy of the vinyl for my wall of fame. I can't wait to dissect this over the next decade. Is the debut truly this good as well?
