I know its beating a dead horse, but the overabundance of excruciating cleans have killed this record for me, sounds like old Linkin Park at times. Its cringey as fuck, what the hell is up with 'My Only Home'?

Could be me just growing out of Metalcore, I find it all meh now. Unearth and KSE are the only bands from the genre that I will make an effort to seek out. And I only have a small interest in KSE because Jesse Leach has returned.

Dam.

I can relate with that Shogun. Still, there's a ton of metalcore i find very worth it even now. But metalcore as in melodic metalcore is not that worth it anymore, these days all melodic metalcore acts that still kick ass have moved on to experiment with hardcore or prog or wtv else.

My only home is just a poor effort

Is this really that bad? I liked their last album and Cauterize was a pretty cool song

This is another album that's average to the standards of AILD's skill. Great work but considering the high bar they've set for themselves from previous releases, this album doesn't impress me. Very truthful review, and a damn good one at that.

Someone said on page 5 or 6 that the new Messhuggah is crap and this is better? What??
Oh and new Spawn of Possession is better than either one.

this album isn't a 5

Comparing AILD with Meshuggah and any of them with Spawn Of Possession is ridiculous by itself. But this isnt half as good as Koloss or any other Meshuggah album as far as im concerned

I've gotten through most of the album and I can honestly say that I think I'm kind of tired of this band.
