I know that wasn't at me, but I couldn't get into the windfaerer album from this year, felt really flat to me
|
| |
I don't know, the production is a bit odd but I actually like it.

ah i didn't necessarily mean the production, just their sound collectively fell short for me, felt dull
|
| |
I know, I just noticed I found the production a bit "harsh".
I did like the album, though. Reminded me a bit of Gris except with a bit more of a folky touch.

I've heard from most of my friends and acquaintances that have been to Germany, that most of the major cities aside from Munich are extremely Americanized.
|
| |
context break much? What do you mean by "Americanized"?

I didnt like Tribus but ive yet to listen to Tenebrosum

Skyscrapers, fast-food franchises everywhere, and a surprising lack of the historical stuff you'd expect to see (which I assume is a direct result of the war).

What German city did you visit? That's more the mark of modernization than specifically American
|
| |
It's also a vast oversimplification.

yeah by that description, practically every major city in the world has been Americanized, which is, well... lol
|
| |
It also reduces cities to the things that you will see most easily and fails to recognize nuances.

yeah if fast food is the sign of Americanization than Tokyo was the most American city I've ever visited.
|
| |
It's not like fast food isn't generally widespread in any advanced civilization. Hell, the stuff existed in Rome before the words "fast food" were even used to describe that type of stuff.
