"Boring and unimaginative even for 2005 standards. What do ya'll hear in this? Is it just a nostalgia thing or what?"

I think you either get super attached to the melodies or you get your reaction lol. Even in '05 people were either love them or meh on them.

Not much for Silent Planet but otherwise that sounds sweet

Might have to pop this up to a 4 soon. Been sounding better lately for whatever reason

Silent Planet is pretty sweet live, as long as the cleans are on point which they thankfully were when I saw them. Their drummer is one of the best in the genre

They've kept most of the same shtick the whole time so it probably wouldn't change your mind. Everything Was Sound is probably my favorite one

When the End Began was my favourite. Share the Body is visceral

wow i did actually revisit this! the worst is yet to come and recovery are hard jams but the rest eh it's decent. i would rather just listen to as i lay dying or darkest hour. the mix on this is oddly muddy and the cleans kinda lack some pop. some cool melodies though. i remember liking ceasing to breathe more so i'll have to jam that again.

finally going through the discog after seeing them like a year and a half ago lol this is pretty fun carl if youre reading this i love you. definitely not the most original thing ive ever heard but the vocals rule and take it up a notch, plus the synths are hella fun. recovery absolutely smashes, extra .5 for that alone

curious and excited for the serpent since its supposed to be really different

Don't know why Still Remains is being talked about in 2025, but there is a reason Recovery and I Can Revive Him With My Own Hands are being talked about as the best songs... because this band peaked on the EP where those songs originated
