It's called Revolver not just in reference to a gun but because a record on a turntable revolves in a circle.

Edit: In reference to starry's post, this is still their 3rd best album.

their best album by a long shot (yellow submarine drags it down a wee bit) but that is clutching at starws... not to say their other albums weren't amazing.

It's definitely a top 3 Beatles album for me along with Abbey Road and Sgt Pepper. At present my preference might be for Sgt Pepper as it's quite colourful and quirky.



Incidentally I wonder if the cover influenced the Forever Changes cover, definitely the best cover art on a Beatles album.

I like Abbey Road the bestest.

See I would have about 4 or 5 of their albums around a 4.5 5 but I really don't like abbey road. Like it is still good but it's my least favourite of their good albums.
