Would the likes of Jarvis still be held up as heroic in this day and age?

I’d like to think so but we’ve become so bloody Americanised who knows??

Everyone old enough to watch music videos in the 90s knows how to do the weird hand eye motions at the end of:

‘She came from Greece she had a thirst for knowledge,

She studied sculpture at St Martin’s college, that’s where I

Caught her eye’

They’re the best band coming out of the Britpop hysteria:

Pulp > Suede > Blur > Elastica > the rest (yes, including those Mancunian brothers)

New song is pretty dang sweet. Really excited to hear the full record as they said it was the quickest and most natural an entire album writing cycle has gone.

Unfortunately, the music video is ai trash lol

Pulp will have some shared bills with LCD Soundystem in the States, that should be fun.

gabba’s ranking does it for me but the whole genre is complete ass, let’s be real here. Then you had all the post / revival shit which was somehow categorically worse

Elastica released only one good album, but that’s a near masterpiece. I will need to check the new Pulp song, I hope for the best, but only Suede had a worthy reunion so far.

It’s not bad, but doesn’t live up to their heyday albums. But Super Furry Animals went under my radar, thanks for the reminder!
