With the majority of the band's members barely out of their teens, Utah deathcore sextet Chelsea Grin show some minor progression on their Chris Harris produced 2nd LP 'My Damnation'. Alex Koehler's vocals have improved to the point where lyrics can almost be understood, while there is also a little more variety to the guitar-work. But the areas of improvement really should be obvious & there is simply too much monotonous repetition contained within this 38 minutes worth to be deemed passable. The 5 minute long 'Calling In Silence' is easily the best thing they've done though. Recommended Tracks: Calling In Silence & Last Breath.

This is one of my major guilty pleasure albums. I normally can't stand slower sounding deathcore, the faster and more
technical the better imo, but for some reason I really enjoy this

You really do have the nicest ratings on the site. I should probably 3 this from the massive nostalgia and because I still sort of enjoy most of these songs. Calling in Silence is by far best they've ever done
