Context John.
Round my mates house when it was released, listening to it loving it. His mum coming back pissed from the show ‘Five Guys Named Moe’ and innocently mistakenly calling it ‘Five Gays named Joe’
Crying laughing
Putting the kettle on for a brew, having a sip and the tea bag was still in it and slapped me in the face us all falling about laughing again.
A letter to Elise playing in the background.

And all the smiles that I wear
And all the games that I play
And all the drinks that I mix
And I drink until I'm sick
And all the faces I make
And all the shapes that I throw
And all the people I meet
And all the words that I know
Makes me sick to the heart
Oh I feel so tired
And the way the rain comes down hard
That's how I feel inside

It's kind of crazy that this is also the album that has Friday I'm In Love

artiswar, it also has Doing the Unstuck! There is probably something dark there, but omg that is so to me unabashed about being happy, even if it is too late?
Friday I am Love follows and is a single. Then Trust and A Letter to Elise. I didn't rate this album it is a easy 4/4.5.

There's a crazy disparity between the songs on this album. Pop slop and really emotional post-rock.
I have a very funny embarrassing story about Friday I'm In Love that I've never shared

I had to cut off Friday I am in Love. I'd rather hear Love Song.....
So now I am listening to "Trust" on my media player/phone. It's a good album and the new one is a perfect 5. But haha I like the pop leaning songs, this album does it all really well.

hehe is it about a mixtape?! *emotional fingers on chin look* I know I've seen you and Spec here. I'll forget it likely, but yeah Letter to Elise is good too. And now it is Cut, the shredder of the album. I actually don't really like the End. It drags too much especially after to "Wish Impossible Things."
The "End" is still a good song, I just feel like after, "Cut" and then "To Wish Impossible Things" would have closed the album way better.

I had a phase early in high school when I was trying to get into acting for some reason even though I sucked at it. One of my gigs was some commercial where I had to sing Friday I'm In Love. It was a fucking disaster, I was very uncomfortable, I did not get the gig. Everyone involved was horrified.
That's one of my main memories of this album. I still like it but I always skip Friday because of the trauma

I did Karaoke live for Depeche Mode at a bar and I actually did okay for technical reasons, but I was so nervous? I never liked to be on a stage then even with some drinks so I never moved at all. So I was basically just reading the lyrics and doing my best Dave Gahan impression. Which I can hit his voice. It still wasn't a "GOOD" look.
I think The Cure write a lot of good left field pop songs "High" is fun, but I do like it when they gloom it up more. A generic love song sounds better when it has a darker feeling.
Thanks for sharing that artiswar. I wrote a little bit if anyone freaking cares just to say hey.

It was extremely uncomfortable, I didn't do a good job and I basically cried myself to sleep that night for failing and was traumatized. But it was very funny

Awww well at least you can look back on it and laugh perhaps it seems. Definitely Maybe. Here I am thinking about the olde days and I don't even want to go that far back to even '92.
Also the End doesn't need to be nearly seven minutes. I just think they said everything they needed to say before it. I probably should give this a 4.5 as I love BloodFlowers. I think that is a near 5.0. Anyhow. "Wish" rules.

Do you have a bad Wish story too? Haha. I was literally crying and almost suicidal after that but in retrospect I do find it very funny

No I just think ^ The End is sorta pointless and overstays its welcome. I already gave you my Depeche Mode karaoke moment.

I love The Cure. Their stuff always makes me very comfortable or really uncomfortable. They're kind of a crazy band.
Hottest The Cure take?
