Can't get into this. It's too messy for me, the production is very nice, but I think it would've worked better with a more "conventional" style of rapping.

I'm not too fond of Swerve. The addition of female rapping was cool though. King's New Clothes is awesome, I just wish it was double the length. Echo from the Hosts is also very good.

Yeah, You is pretty mean as well.

"Free press" , "echo" and "swerve" are finest hiphop songs in fuckin long time period. No seriously I love that album but i know that is so experimental record my brother love hip hop but dont feel that LP I am not gonna hate anybody for not really feeling this LP ... but for it works very well I simply LOVE IT

I have been slacking on album ratings, I haven't rated anything in the last month or so, but in my head I have this Shabazz album at a 4.2 or a 4.3 right now.. So I'm struggling with the rating. It's either a 4 or a 4.5 for me. I definitely love it. I also love your enthusiasm towards this album!

hehe yeah i love it and i like that someone show true love to that LP like you.

I think that "black up" deserve attention to all people who like creative original music not some mainstream shits

Sums it up pretty much.

Some of the beats on this album slightly remind me off Dubstep.

Most of the production on this rules, but Butterfly has definitely dropped his quality of lyricism since the Digable Planets days.

Turn up the bass brah.

And one of the best parts of this album is the lyrics imo.

I didn't mean to say that this should be more conventional, although it did turn out that way. I get what's so great in this record and I'm not surprised this is liked as much. It just doesn't click with me is all.

Chances are you don't know what a "dubstep sound" sounds like because you only listen to Skrillex or something.

But try listening to Free Press and Curl a little more closely (lol first song), as well as 1000 Questions, Youlogy and King's New Clothes. You can find similar sounds on a Mount Kimbie album, for example.
