I have come up with a theory.

A theory of true wisdom.

Trolls have attacked this thread and by not giving it a 1, they are giving it a 5 to create more buzz.

Correct theory? we will see.

just give it time.

This is an absolutely fantastic collection of music. I agree with the sentiment that there is definitely at least one EP on here for everyone. This fact is very evident when considering the diversity in what people have identified as their favorite colors.

I hope it stays this highly rated. Casey and The Dear Hunter deserve more recognition for their talents, and I hope The Color Spectrum is the release that makes that happen for them.

This shuffles around with every listen, but:

Violet/White > Green > Indigo/Yellow > Black > Red > Orange > Blue

That said, I still like Blue.

I don't see what everyone sees in Green, sounds like a bunch of acoustic songs that go nowhere to me.

IMO violet>black>indigo>white>orange>blue>yellow>red>green

Also really surprised this is still so high. Judging by the individual EP scores I'm guessing this will drop to like 4.2-4.3.

People will eventually get pissed and vote with unnecessary 2's and such.

I personally think Green has a great vibe to it, very calm and gentle. 'The Inheritance' is definitely one of my favorite songs on this collection.

Surprised by the lack of fanfare for Blue - after two playthroughs it's one of my favourites. Seems to be at the back of everyone else's lists though.

Feels a bit too much at times, but I could see this going up, and you have to admire the guts/talent. Will be interesting to see the response this gets elsewhere...

oh boy

keep in mind that it's not even a 2,5 hour continual album, but a 9-EP collection.

The best songs all seem to have those sweet harmonizing group vocals

Does anyone else hear the theme song to "How I Met Your Mother" in "She's Always Singing"?

Haha yeah I get what you mean, hadn't noticed that before. Finally done with rating all the individual ep's now. Indigo is my favorite.

White and Indigo are my favorites right now. My dad and I played this on a road trip yesterday, and I started to get bored in the green/blue section, but indigo picked things back up.

And the songs I didn't like the first go-round are starting to grow on me like crazy.
