I mean; some people get it others don't, you know? Even legends had the same effect on people. Let's not forget that a hefty number of people hated Bob Dylan's vocals too.

But I totally agree with you when you say a lot of stuff today passes as folk music when some of it clearly isn't.

yeah for sure, i'm pretty sure people don't listen to Dylan for his awesome vocal melodies haha.

i guess time will tell with FF...i mean they've got the potential, that much is obvious.

I genuinely believe they have a chance at making a real classic. Like something we'll remember in years to come. I feel the same way about Arcade Fire too.

At this rate; aside from their Self Titled EP; all of their work has been fantastic.

I love albums where you glance at the tracklist and think the longest song will be the most boring and it ends up being the opposite. "The Shrine/An Argument" is probably top 3 best on the album.

I agree on Fleet Foxes, I don't agree about Arcade Fire.

I think Arcade Fire have a good shot at making a classic. They're great song writers and musicians. =)

This has kinda wore off a bit for me. Maybe from listening to it too much when it first came out. Still one of the best albums I've heard this year though.

I think the album title could have been better. It's not a blues album and it doesn't really make me think of blues that much, not really a depressive album either.
