Yesss Way of Life is a top 10 GG song, but I still prefer the t/t and ''Experience''

t/t is madness. That 5 second reprise/collage of the whole album at the end is just brilliant.

This is in my Top 3 Gentle Giant albums along with Octopus and Power and the Glory

Absolutely adore Gentle Giant and their incredible streak of six back-to-back classics, which you certainly could argue as seven if you include their delightful debut LP

One of these days I'll accept the truth and bump all six of those albums to a 5

''honestly feel that this one is a tad overrated''
The Runaway, Way of Life, Experience and the title track are enough to convince, dude.

top 5 prog bands ever easily
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
Absolutely. My personal Top 5 - in no particular order - would be GG, Rush, Genesis, Opeth, and Pink Floyd (yeah, I know their "prog status" has always been debated, but I've always considered them prog)

takin modern shiz into consideration makes things tricky
top 5 old school prog, in no order: GG, VdGG, Genesis, Yes, Camel
honorable mentions of Mike Oldfield cause he's like New Age/world prog or whatever and PF cause they're the best band eva

If we're talking bands past the old-school era (as in, I'd say mid-80s onward) I'd go with Opeth, Voivod, Beardfish, Porcupine Tree, and Cynic (sans that last album they put out)
A few honorable mentions would include Dream Theater (primarily because of their 90s heyday), Thought Industry, Gojira (maybe not entirely prog but I love them anyway), Symphony X, and King's X. And I'm sure there are plenty of others I would add to that list too
