I like Tales for what it is. Conduit and Chapter are the weakest imo.

I don't think this or any other of their stuff are 'classics' or anything near it. But when I see sputnik users praising albums other similar and lesser albums, ffaf is definitely underrated. Heck, I've just stumbled again on 'Hours' and there's some very solid guitar work on that album.

Oh yea, Hours is awesome, too. It and WHA are their best, I think. Memory is one of their weaker albums for me and I was a wee bit worried after it that they were on a downhill slide, but this fraggin put that notion aside in the best way possible
I am pretty keen on all their stuff up to this, tho. It took me a bit to get into their Conduit and Chapter sound but there's some good stuff in those two as well

Tales and Memory are more alt/rock. They pre much drop the phxc and the harsh vox on those, but I have really grown to like Tales over the years. I still like Memory And Humanity (Constant Illuminations is a goodun) but it is my least favorite up to this
The drummer left and they changed up their sound somewhat, mostly in the vox, for Conduit and after. I don't really revisit Chapters much but I did end up liking Conduit a fair amount after some time with it
