Blue album is their only good album. Well I've only heard their first 5 but I'm pretty that because I dislike Pinkerton, there's no point in checking out their later stuff, plus Make Believe is disgusting and I don't want to suffer through another album like this.

Pinkerton is overrated yes, but you do need to at least give Everything a spin... you may like it?

It's... a little more depressing in tone.

Pinkerton is a lot looser, more abrasive and "live"-sounding if that makes any sense. lyrically it's also more personal and negative than most of their other stuff. Rivers was frustrated with his life and disillusioned with rock-stardom at the time and it shows, both in the music and the lyrics.
