They're not even playing Life Cycles on this tour. Telle is a goddamn moron. When I saw them 4 years ago people went harder for Deceiver/Life Cycles tracks more than songs off Real.

"They're not even playing Life Cycles on this tour"
That's sacrilegious tbh, wtf Telle

Apologician and Lights & Stones would slap have. Excluding them is fucking stupid.

Agreed, their bonus tracks always slapped huge cock. The bonus tracks on Real were better than like 90% of that album, and I'm one of the few that actually really like Real

Real got better with time but the middle minus Glass Castle is such a mess. and Lighthouse is ass.
Broken Circuit and To Struggle and Claw My Way go super hard, i love them

these guys have always had dope bonus tracks indeed

Only songs I don't like on Real are Lighthouse and Runaway, those songs are garbo. Broken Circuit goes so fucking hard
Pull Us Out of the Grave is phenomenal and should've been on the album, not just a bonus track. Like bro, listen to how hard this goes. Whole band goes fucking OFF, especially Telle and Luke

the only actual bad album I think they have is the new one.
I think i'll jam Life Cycles today, it's been a while. idk why they don't play that anymore. the scene is in love with possibly the best penned line of all time "i'd rather die for what i believe than live a life without meaning" woahh so emoshunul.

Life Cycles is a good song i just loathe that line more than any other lol

i forget how that one sounds off the top of my head but i remember loving it. i'll jam it after work. The Conscience has always been my fave of their bonus songs. that fucking Protest The Hero riff that it opens with is so yesss. great chorus too.

Well I am glad I could spark this conversation. I was just shocked by Telle's lack of self-awareness. The Deceiver songs ripped. Would have been cool to hear some Empire songs or (I guess) Lifecycles (I stopped listening to the band after listening to lifecycles once or twice).
Interesting to hear that his lack of self awareness is much deeper than just this whole tour/retiring songs stint ... I had no clue how much he was trying to push the new shit down peoples throats and brand it as an evolution.

Evolution, Wishmaster, Astral Plane, Dragon Spell, and Room 126 are all some of their best. album is pretty great. Hidden Lakes, Belong, and Live a Lie were always kinda meh to me but they never detracted from the experience
and damn I actually love The Runaway. it's not very TWA at all but shit's catchy

I wish they had another singer at this point. beyond his lack of awareness, his hooks have been pretty meh for like 3 albums now

Evolution's has such nasty riffage I love it, and the album as a whole is Telle at this best imo. After Life Cycles his cleans very noticeably deteriorated, I don't get what happened
I can't stand Runaway lol, and the music video is just too much lmao

i love how different Evolution is from all of their songs. and I don't get the vocal deterioration either...he still sounded good live when I saw em at Warped in 2014.
i'll trust you about the music video lol, haven't seen it

this also just reminded me how retarded it is that they have a song called The Runaway and then a newer one called Run Away.
Who can be this dumb?

Yea same I saw them at Warped 2014 and they were incredible! Telle came into the crowd because there was a mud pit that the crowd started because of the rain lol, it was such a fun experience. I gave Telle a big hug and I wasn't expecting him to be so ripped lmao

awful band, awful band name

dude's definitely pretty built surprisingly lmao. he goes pretty wild so i'll give him that. i was right under him in the middle of the crowd for Life Cycles and it was hype.
on another semi-unrelated note my good friend and i unexpectedly met in the circle pit in Glass Castle and we hugged it out, it was a big cute moment
