I still really liked Awake?. Regardless of the more melodic sound, I thought it was still very much a Zao record. I'm very much looking forward to the new record, as they really don't ever make the same album twice.

the earlier albums or the remake.

Worst Zao, to me, are the two with Shawn, but it's hardly fair due to them being representative of an entirely different sound. If I had to pick one with Dan as the worst, not counting the remade All Else Failed, I'd say it would be Parade of Chaos. Still a phenomenal record, just the one I listen to least often.

I like the ones with Shawn okay, mainly Splinter, but they just don't compare to any release made with Dan. Even the All Else Failed remake destroys the original, in my opinion. I don't even care it was just a cash-grab attempt, it still sounded passionate.
