of course this album is a classic, but 'newer' DT such as A Nightmare To Remember, Count Of Tuscany, Breaking All Illusions, Outcry, and Octavarium are as good as anything they've ever done

JP is focusing way too much on becoming a riff machine, there are other ways to write a song. I know it's prog METAL, but they can veer towards rock and come up with interesting song structures and musical ideas that don't necessarily revolve around riffs and cheesy as hell ballads.

It is slightly but it has more character than most of their modern stuff. After ToT they started drifting off for me.

I dont care for them after Portnoy left. Thought ADToE was pretty lame.
