This album = Jesus Lizard + staring into the abyss and seeing the emptiness of human existence - catchy bass riffs

Yeah new album is pretty good, but this one is insane, I'm obsessed with it. Their first release is the only one that doesn't quite click with me, it sounds like a poor attempt at covering TDEP.

I think their newest is my favorite, actually. Just went on a three hour drive last night at night in rural NY (visiting my old college town) and had their newest one on and I felt like I was in my own horror movie. Truly put me into another world.
But this is definitely my second favorite, this album fucking rules. Then Hell Songs. Then yeah, a substantial drop to their debut even though I still think their debut is quite enjoyable.

I'm waiting to rate them because I instantly loved this one when I first heard it, whereas the newest one is taking me longer to digest, but I like it a bit more every time I listen to it.

Cananda songs doesn’t make me think of TDEP at all. It’s just a very clean and dissonant grind record
