What You Know reminds me of this:

This came out two days earlier, so technically that songs sounds like 'What You Know'. Which it doesn't.

No, no & no on that comparison G3N3RIC

Yeah, they sound totally different. If 'yall guys are interested; the band met up legendary interviewer Nardwuar and made a so & so impression (Lead singer came across as a total dick)

(a) Nardwuar gets f'n annoying after a while, and (b) I didn't think he came across as a dick at all.
|
| |
At the end he does. And not so much a dick as just trying really hard to be really cool or something,
I dunno.
The other two were great though; especially Kev who seems like a nice chap. =)
And yeah; Nardwuar only comes across as annoying when the people he interviews aren't interested.
Other interviews can be really funny when the artist plays along. =)

This interview is quite hilarious.

"At the end he does" Yeah, because he probably felt like me. Nardwuar was fine to begin with, but it's like repeating the same joke over & over.
|
| |
Ah I dunno, I think he's great. I like how he knows so much about the bands and even surprises them. =)
|
| |
wasn't implying that they ripped that song off or anything, i was just saying that it reminded me of that song.
both just sound like very typical, unimpressive indie pop to me.

I'll be honest, I didn't even know who he was before you posted that link.

Ditto. And yeah, the interviewer obviously has good knowledge & is funny to some extent, but it gets old quick me thinks.

I actually got into this band through an ex, and i still listen quite alot. What You Know, Cigarettes In The Theatre, Something Good Can Work, Undercover Martyn and Eat That Up, It's Good For You are all brilliant tracks in my opinion.

OMG, someone who keeps liking a band that their ex liked after the split. Shock horror!

Great review. Personally, I couldn't imagine giving such an incredibly catchy and infectious album anything less than 4.0. There is no depth to the music whatsoever, everything is completely 1-dimensional, but god damn, it's had me singing and dancing with my friends every week for over half a year now. I've never heard anything so fun.

Thanks minty. You know what... In all honesty, I think that if I did not review this & look at it so closely, I probably would have rated it a 4 also.

What You Know, Undercover Martyn and I Can Talk are great - the rest gets samey.

A friend of mine ruined this album for me by playing it all the time in his car. Hopefully it's temporary.
