It's actually pretty amazing how forward thinking this release was. These guys were doing the black metal/noise thing before mostly everybody that's on the scene nowadays. Pioneers for sure.

tbh I'm not surprised a lot of people don't dig this. it's very challenging music and highly esoteric. ever tried Cloak of Altering LT?

I don't think I'd be missing the target by a few leagues if I said that most black noise is challenging to the average listener. Obviously there will be levels within the genre, but as a whole it isn't exactly elevator music in terms of easy listening.
