Might bump this to a 4, but my original thought that the 2nd half is stronger than the first sticks

Not enjoying this as much as Painful and Electr-o-Pura on the first couple spins.

Spec Bebop is basically the definition of a skippable track eh?

I don't believe in skipping tracks, but if I did, sure.

I don’t skip tracks either but if I did I would probably skip that one, all it does is pad the album out an unnecessary extra 10 minutes.

I was expecting a lot more from this album honestly since it's labeled as experimental by some people, but at least it has some catchy tunes :P

People who think this is experimental probably think OK Computer is experimental :/

Deeper Into Movies and Damage and We’re An American Band are three of my fav ever songs. Love The Lie and How We Told It a lot too

I’ve never seen anyone call this/YLT experimental, indie rock/dream pop/noise pop basically covers it.

My guess is this’ll grow on me to the same level as the two previous but I’m not quite sure I see it as a classic-tier album, it’s a bit too sprawling for that I guess.

Yeah this is pretty much only experimental in the sense that YLT have their own unique breed of indie rock which they perfect on this. I’ve never seen anyway label this as solely experimental

This is a hard grower Boney, this went from average to good to great to being one of my all time favs. It just takes ‘that’ listen. Autumn Sweater is the goat

'Painful' is just about their best - but there's a definite 4 ceiling on most of their stuff for me Boney.

Sometimes I think 'And Then Nothing' is the best for repeat plays, I dunno. Consistent...but something lacking too.

Yeah, from what I’ve heard from them so far they produce the occasional total stunner of a tune and a lot of great ones but intersperse those with a few too many that are just “nice”.

ill wholeheartedly contend that every song on here is a slapper (spec bebops aside)

So excited to see these live next week, despite the painfully boring new album
