I think I disagree with you (reviewer) in just about everything.

my favorites are Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, Very Ape (I love how the guitar confuses you in the begining), tourettes and of cousre apologies, servants and heartshaped box.

The Rape Me lyrics, just for everybody that read this and don't know, are anti-rape, it's irony, like say mandatory suicide

if you happen to love heavy metal.

IMO if that last song(Gallons Of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through The Strip) is not in US editions, then it's a bonus track and not the albums closer.

Its clear that Kurt wanted to loose fans. I'm die-hard enough to enjoy the album though. All Apologies changed my life.

Good review. Kurt did actually like Big Black, and also Rapeman (another of Albini's bands). Other than that its a great opinionated review!

yeah kurt didnt name his daughter after frances farmer, but when asked about it he said he wanted to name his daughter aften frances farmer. They named they're daughter frances bean because bean was a word that showed up alot in both kurt's and courtney's life.

Weren't they gonna name her Eugene after the dude from the Vaselines if she was a guy?

Hard spot is right because Kurt said that he was tired of people always looking for a deep and profound meaning in his lyrics so for Rape Me he was really blunt about it.

Not a bad review. I personally love tourrettes though. My least favorite track was scentless apprentice. Also Milk It has a dark psychotic tone to it that I just love. Too bad it's there last cd.

I was listening to this album this morning whilst i was chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool in the bath, and damn it flows so well. So much raw emotion pouring from this bad boy.

This is the only Nirvana that I actually like. Nevermind would be held high in my books if it wasn't over played. But this one never got the light that Nevermind got, which is sad because I think that it is on a whole nother level.

One time I asked a friend of mine what their favourite band was and they said Nirvana. I asked which album they liked the most and they were "Nevermind." I asked if they heard this one and they didn't know that it exhisted....

I just don't understand this album.. Heart-Shaped Box is great and all, but the production is just shitty. Or, well, they did want a rough sound. But still. Nevermind for me.

Something that bugs me, is if you are old enough to remember when it came out ( I was 13 ). This album god bashed hardcore, it was looked at as a failure, I think if kurt would have not died and nirvana made more albums this album would have been looked at as "ok" but it seems people like to prop this thing up like it's better then it is since this was there last album. And the crazy thing is, it seems like the internets is populated with 14 - 20 year olds that were not around when nirvana were popular but like to read about them on wiki and other sources like they know what there talking about. It's almost like it's "cool" to say this is your favorite nirvana album. But the thing is most of the people I talk to that are in there late 20's early 30's and that were around when nirvana was around know this album is weak. I mean it has a few great tracks, but when compared to nevermind please...

I think it's great that teenagers are into nirvana, but unless you were around when they were. Don't talk like you know every thing about them because you read a book or watched a movie on them...This Message Edited On 08.21.08

nevermind is way less interesting than this. plus nevermind is really overrated. it's good but not very. this is way better whether or not it was looked upoin as a failure.
