True, the sounds of my dog throwing up grass sound better than the Ripper era.

'Seventh Son is better imo'
For the first time in their career, they clearly were going for a more accessible sound with that record imo (Can I Play With Madness?, The Evil That Men Do), even though it is pretty progressive as well. I attribute this to the strong hair metal presence at that time. There are a few 'slight misses' on it that SIT doesn't have. Still an awesome album that is better than most.

This and Jugulator are about equal quality-wise, but I mean Rob > Tim, so I revisit this one more often

This isn't so terrible; it's just a very average glam rock album.

"You've got low points, real low points, and then you've got Turbo."
That's too generous.

there's worse tbh

If you mean worse JP albums, then no, there is none worse than Turbo.

Dude, Demolition is MILLEESS worse than this
|
| |
No. At least there's a reason why Demolition is so awful. They had a new singer, who was too new to contribute anything to the band, and JP's career was in danger of ending. There is NO EXCUSE as to why Turbo is bad. After the double success of Screaming and Defenders, and with how big metal was in the late-80's (Peace Sells, Somewhere in Time, Master of Puppets) there was no reason for making a dumb glam rock album that goes against all the cheesy-testosterone filled energy that is Judas Priest.

Reason or not, Demolition was generic, boring and WAY too long. Turbo was probably more of a let down though, especially considering it was 1986, A year considered pretty legendary for metal.
