“The band used to present themselves as a joke, so people took them as a joke. It did them more harm than good in the long run.”

i dont think so. only in the two music video they were funny and jokey. Similar bands all had those funny style of music videos at that time (blink, sum41).

Feel like this is an album I should love, but I always have a hard time enjoying it. Can't even pinpoint why. I just end up with an headache by the time it wraps up, maybe it's the production, guitar tones, or Dryden's chaotic vocals (which I don't mind, but it gets a bit much for me). It's a shame because some of the chorus's and riffs I really dig, but overall it misses the mark big time in my opinion.

never cared for "movies", such an unintentionally dreary song for something that i think is supposed to a fun party banger. reminds me of hinder's "get stoned" which is also meant to be a fun party banger but sounds like it's meant to be played at a crackhead's funeral. weird they tried pushing "movies" as a single soooo hard with like, what, 3 different music videos?

this band had the worst single choices movies is weak. attitude is one of the best songs on her but is a terrible choice for a single, its better as a deep cut

Was listening to this while driving on the freeway today and within 10 seconds of him saying "you better watch the road" I had to slam on my brakes kinda hard as the cars in front of me slowed down to a complete stop. Other songs were not as prescient but this shit rocks still
