I bought a PSP and so I haven't been buying music lol. a video clip came on TV last night and it rocked hard, turns out it was Karnivool which completely reminded me to pick this album up!

is it just me or is set fire to the hive the worst song on the album... not because i heard it on the radio before anything else on the album, im just not a big fan of it. The chorus is catchy and i like the drums and bee swarm riff, but the fuzzy tone of the song shits me. the cleaner parts are good though. i dunno, its a good song i guess, but i always seem to skip it. I think its the intro that puts me off it... The really syncopated drum fill bit and fuzzy bass along with the annoying vocal effect. oh man id better shut up now, im just rambling

I don't think Set Fire is bad at all, just terribly misplaced on Sound Awake. It's the only song with actual grit and the sole track that revisits the frantic adrenaline feeling Themata could sometimes have.

Yeah I only heard the first 6 or so songs. It's gonna grow on me I can tell, so far only set fire to the hive stands out but I really gotta give this about 4 good spins to get into it.

Yeah it takes a bit of time, Set Fire To The Hive is really a song of hooks while the rest like New Day and Umbra grow on you a lot!
