oh, its not that, its just when someone badmouths the album you agree and then later say the quality of the music is good.

on the vocals subject, i haven't heard this but i usually don't let vocals get in the way of good music

If you're referring to the comment he made right after mine, I think he was being sarcastic, and was making the (fairly reasonable) assumption that I don't like this because of the vocals.

I admire you DBlitz, I can't do it which is why Disillusion is not held high in my regards.

The instrumentation here is sloppy, haphazard, uninteresting, etc etc.

no way man. it's pretty solid, especially the bass but I do think the vocals are a bit stale.

The instrumentation in regard to song-writing ability is where the album completely falters - trying to rate the band simply on their technical ability is arbitrary, seeing as it's 'technical death' and some proficiency is a given.

i think more people need to listen to the band Revocation and less to Obscura.

okay, maybe sloppy is a bad word. I certainly feel there's little or no intelligent songwriting here (a.k.a the progressions and change-ups on each track don't make sense to me, don't sound good, don't fit etc.), therefore making it uninteresting.
